Madder lake was most widely used in the 18th and 19th century, though never as extensively as the ruby like lakes. It is the darker shade of Madder Lake. **When using binders to make the pigments into paints, the color may vary.

It’s a little runny but honestly doesn’t bother me at all. Gives me a good glow with a little coverage! Better than any expensive ones I’ve used & layers well with or without makeup. Just wish it was a higher spf but definitely buying again.
